Guide Dogs of the Desert Selected as
Charity of Choice to Receive Donation from
PGA TOUR Volunteer Challenge
At the recent CareerBuilder Challenge, Guide Dogs of the Desert was honored to receive a $10,000 donation after its selection by a team of winning volunteers in the PGA TOUR Volunteer Challenge sponsored by Myrbetriq® (mirabegron), a friendly competition honoring the talent and dedication of the TOUR's more than 100,000 volunteers, including nearly 1,000 in the Coachella Valley.

The donation honors Knapp and Leonard for winning the PGA TOUR Volunteer Challenge at the recent CareerBuilder Challenge hosted by the La Quinta Country Club in La Quinta, Calif.
The top vote-getting CareerBuilder Challenge team asked the public to vote for them, and at the end of the voting period, team members chose Guide Dogs of the Desert from a list selected by the tournament to receive a $10,000 donation on behalf of Astellas Pharma US, Inc. The donation was presented during a special ceremony on Championship Sunday, and the team appreciated the chance to help make a difference for people served through Guide Dogs of the Desert.
The winning team included: Dusty Knapp from Banning and Julie Leonard from La Quinta.
The PGA TOUR Volunteer Challenge sponsored by Myrbetriq® (mirabegron) is designed to raise funds for charity while recognizing the talent, passion and commitment of the PGA TOUR's nationwide network of volunteers who have helped the TOUR achieve more than $2.14 billion in charitable giving to date.
The PGA TOUR Volunteer Challenge takes place at 16 tournaments during the 2017 PGA TOUR season and builds upon more than $1 million provided by Astellas, the pharmaceutical manufacturer of Myrbetriq® (mirabegron), to tournament charities over the course of the company's sponsorship with the PGA TOUR.
